Bonjour à tous ! Aujourd’hui, j’aimerais vous faire découvrir des sites qui pourraient vous aider si vous aimez lire en français. So today, I am going to show you some French reading content for all you learners who love to read.
Some French reading content – Écouter
So this text about French reading content is in French and in English. Don’t forget to scroll down to find the English version!

Quelques astuces
Need help in learning French?
A platform that I can highly recommend would be LanguaTalk.com. There, you can find some very talented native tutors from France and Belgium. Prices depend on the tutor you choose and start from around 14 US dollars (or 12 euros). You can see tutors’ reviews and videos then book a 30-minute free trial session with them.

Some French reading content
Today, I’d like to share with you some websites to get a little more content to read in French. I will also share some tips to optimize your reading. Of course, I’m not going to talk about books only. I will also suggest some free (or cheap!) solutions.
Reading the newspaper
If you like to read and you are looking for French reading content, you can read the newspaper. In general, I recommend you to go to Le Monde or Le Courrier International. If you are a sports fan, check out L’Équipe.
They are generally reliable sources and the articles are well written, without mistakes (or very very few!). You have to be very careful because I came across many sites where the articles were full of mistakes!
TV5 Monde (again!)
Yes, once again, I’m going to offer you TV5 Monde. However, today I’m going to direct you to the TV5 Monde digital library ! Indeed, the mission of TV5 Monde is to promote the French language and the French-speaking world. The information you will find there is reliable and meticulously verified.
Wikisource
Think of WikiSource as a giant library! Texts and books are free of rights. You can also access it from a tablet or a smartphone. Don’t forget to go to the French version.
Second-hand books
I understand you, buying books can be expensive in the long run. That’s why I suggest you to buy your books second hand. A book is a book, the most important thing for you today is the content!
So, no need to buy new and save your money.
Some tips
When you read, don’t skip over words you don’t know! Go the extra mile and keep a dictionary handy (Google can also be your friend).
If you really want to optimize your reading, make a book report for each book you read. Book reports help you retain the essential information of a book. The goal of a book report is to fit it into one sheet! Write down the author’s name, the genre of the book, the themes covered, and most importantly, the summary of the book. This will also allow you to work on your French.
Reread some passages aloud to practice and record yourself. Don’t hesitate to work on sentences that you find difficult to pronounce.
