Bonjour tout le monde! Comment ça va? As we all know, due to the coronavirus (or covid-19) pandemic, many of us are staying at home. I would like to share a (bilingual) text in French regarding today’s headlines: the coronavirus in France and how to stay safe. If you want to take a look at the official guidelines, click here.

Le coronavirus en France

Depuis le 16 mars 2020, les Français doivent rester à la maison. À cause de l’épidémie de coronavirus, ou Covid-19, le gouvernement français a demandé aux citoyens de se confiner chez eux et de sortir seulement pour aller travailler, aller se faire soigner ou aller faire les courses

Face au virus, il y a aussi certaines choses à respecter, notamment des “gestes barrières” pour se protéger, mais aussi pour protéger les autres. 

Ces gestes barrières sont:

 

Et quand on est malade, en cas de fièvre, de sensation de fièvre, de toux, de difficultés à respirer:

Le meilleur moyen de lutter contre l’épidémie et d’aider le personnel soignant qui travaille dans les hôpitaux et les cliniques, c’est de rester à la maison et de respecter ces gestes barrières! Alors, restons chez nous, faisons la cuisine, le ménage, de l’exercice, et beaucoup d’activités sympathiques lutter contre le coronavirus en France, mais aussi partout dans le monde!

Coronavirus in France

Since March 16, 2020, the French need to stay at home. Because of the coronavirus, or Covid-19, epidemic, the French government has asked citizens to confine themselves to their homes and only go out to work, to seek medical treatment or to go shopping for groceries. 

In the face of the virus, there are also certain things to respect, in particular “barrier gestures”, or precautions, to protect oneself, but also to protect others.

The best way to fight the epidemic and help health workers in hospitals and clinics, is to stay at home and observe these precautions! So, stay home, cook, do some housework, exercise, and a lot of nice activities, to fight against the coronavirus in France, but also everywhere around the world!
