A dictation is an exercise that helps you test an improve your spelling skills. You will hear the full text read once and a slower version of the text, with punctuation marks read aloud.
Watch out for these punctuation marks:

- Points de suspension : …
- Deux-points: :
- Point-virgule: ;
- Parenthèse ouvrante: (
- Parenthèse fermante: )
- Guillemet ouvrant: «

- À la ligne: skip the line

J’ai regardé un film
Hier soir, j’ai regardé un film à la télévision. C’était un film de science-fiction et l’histoire se passait dans le futur. Il y avait des robots et des voitures volantes. Il s’est passé beaucoup de choses dans le film, mais j’étais fatiguée et j’avais passé une longue journée. Je n’avais qu’une seule chose en tête, c’était d’aller me coucher. Je n’arrivais pas à suivre le film. D’ailleurs, je me suis endormie une demi-heure après l’avoir commencé !

I watched a movie
Last night I watched a movie on television. It was a sci-fi movie and the story was set in the future. There were robots and flying cars. There was a lot going on in the movie, but I was tired and had had a long day. All I could think about was going to bed. I couldn’t keep up with the movie. In fact, I fell asleep half an hour after I started it!
