Je suis sûre que vous êtes comme moi, vous aimez regarder des films ! Mais est-ce que vous connaissez le vocabulaire pour parler d’un film en français ? Voyons tout cela de plus près aujourd’hui. 

Les différents genre de films

Pour parler d’un film en français, il est important de connaître dans un premier temps les différents genres de films. À quel genre appartiennent vos films préférés ? Parmi les différents genres cinématographiques, vous pouvez notamment trouver : 

  • Les films d’action
  • Les films d’aventure
  • Les films de science-fiction
  • Les comédies

Les éléments d’un film

Qui sont les personnages du film ? Le personnage principal s’appelle le héros du film. Comment s’appellent les acteurs qui jouent dans le film ? Quel rôle ont-ils ? Vous pouvez aussi parler du réalisateur, du scénario (écrit par le scénariste) et du lieu de tournage. Est-ce que c’est une adaptation ? Par exemple, il faut savoir si le film a été adapté d’un livre ou d’une histoire vraie.
Vous pouvez aussi préciser si le film a reçu un prix, ou bien s’il a été nominé aux Oscars.

 

Les éléments techniques

Côté technique, vous pouvez parler de la mise en scène et des différents plans. Si vous êtes un vrai cinéphile, vous aimerez sans doute discuter des mouvements de caméra, de la lumière et du décor. Est-ce que les effets spéciaux sont bien faits ? 
Certains films peuvent être très bien joués tandis que d’autres sont mal joués. Le jeu d’acteur est très important.
 

Critiquer un film

Quand il s’agit de la critique d’un film, il existe plusieurs expressions que vous pouvez utiliser.

Critique positive

C’est un film à voir.
C’est un chef-d’oeuvre. 
Ce film est émouvant. 

Ce film a fait un tabac (il a eu beaucoup de succès).

C’est un film génial.

Ce film est réussi.

Il y a beaucoup de rebondissements.

 

 

Critique négative

C’est un navet.
Ce film est nul. 
Je me suis ennuyé(e).
Je n’ai pas trouvé ce film très intéressant.
Ce film est décevant, il m’a déçu(e).
Il y a trop de longueurs. 
C’est un film insipide.

You can also specify if the film has received an award, or if it has been nominated for an Oscar.
 

Technical elements

On the technical side, you can talk about the direction and the different shots. If you’re a real film buff, you’ll probably enjoy discussing the camera movements, lighting and set design. Are the special effects well done? 
Some movies can be very well acted while others are poorly acted. Acting is very important.
 

Reviewing a movie

When it comes to reviewing a movie, there are several expressions you can use. (Translation in English)

It’s a masterpiece. 
This movie is moving. 
This movie was a hit.
This is a great movie.
This movie is successful.
There are many twists and turns.
 

Negative review

This movie is a dud.
This movie is bad. 
I was bored.
I did not find this movie very interesting.
This movie is disappointing, it disappointed me.
There is too much length. 
It is a bland movie.
